These particular lines of the Gathergood family are centred on the village of Hingham in Norfolk. The various generations live in the surrounding towns and villages. The approximate boundaries are Southburgh, Attleborough, Wymondham, Cringleford, Colton and Norwich. They were mainly agricultural workers but in the mid to late 1800’s leave the land and move away into Norwich and other towns and cities in Norfolk, North East England, South East England and in the 1900’s spread out into other parts of the UK and other countries.
